Visit to New York: 1

I visited New York for NFT.NYC2023 (12-14 April), held at the Javits Center, close to the Hudson River. It is the city’s most impressive conference venue. The scale of the event certainly matched that of the building: with a number of “tracks” (in relation to NFTs) for speakers, eg brands, legal, sound/music. I attended very interesting presentations in the room assigned to art, and in the main hall for the launch and other more generic presentations.

There was an Artists Village, and one of my animated digital artworks, Market Index Dreams, was selected for exhibition. Adjacent to the Artists Village was an area where food was provided and there were stations for coffee at various points of the main floor for the event. I found informal moments, in the relaxation room and on the fabulous roof terrace overlooking the Hudson river, gave opportunities for one-to-one chats and the swapping of contact information.

The technical support staff at the space were kind enough to play my artwork over three screens. Below is a 10 second excerpt from Market Index Dreams at NFT.NYC.
